Home For Us All

The baby came home yesterday.  Josh was thrilled with his baby brother as you can see.  I felt it was very important that the family settle in to being a family and hurried away.   I am home myself.   Now we all settle into our old familiar routines.  Spring is springing all about the place here with all sorts of blooms.  What a perfect time of year for new beginnings!

I love the picture! So glad you are home and settling in. I know John is happy to have you back!

My plum tree is blooming and every time I look out my kitchen window I am in a time warp. It should not bloom until April.

Sweet picture.

Isn't home such a wonderful place when you've been away?
Several years ago, I was on a multi-state business trip with my husband and on about Day 9 we got an emergency phone call from California that 2 of my close relatives had died. We were in Missouri and went to California. We had to drive because it was the week just before Thanksgiving and there were no flights available.
Anyhow, we were gone for about 17-18 days total. I about kissed the floor when we got home. I'm not sure who was more excited about seeing our house, me or the dog. We always take our dog everywhere.
Anyway, the second we turned onto our street, she started howling and yipping. It was hilarious. I think it was about a good 2 yrs. before I wanted to go anywhere again!!!

I love he expression on Josh's face. Happiness and amazement at being a big brother. It's wonderful that everyone is home.

Terri, such a sweet photo. I know you said Josh has just started needing 3T clothes. He is still a little guy but he looks so big compared to his brother. It is truly miraculous how we start out as tiny babies and then grow up.

I am so happy for you to be home. Us grandmas do what we have to do but being at home is just wonderful.

Thanks for sharing this journey with us (and sharing the sweet picture)! You'll be back in your routine in no time.

So happy you were able to be there for them in their time of need.
