I bought an old red wool blanket that had moth holes in it at a garage sale years ago for .50 cents. I cut it up and hung it inside my west windows. Boy did that cut the afternoon heat in our bedroom. I couldn't believe the difference. I kept the blinds drawn so the wool blanket didn't show in the room.
