I've had to unfollow a lot of my friends lately (like Janell mentioned above) because of excessive and derogatory political comments. I've also unfollowed my SIL and a couple of other friends who were constantly posting images of abused animals. Like you, I'm extremely sensitive to that stuff and I can't get the images out of my mind. Makes me ill. Admittedly, I've also gotten caught up in some really stupid arguments on FB that have left me shaking and heart and head pounding. While I don't want to quit FB totally, I really need to set some boundaries and guidelines for myself and also limit my time on FB.

I need to go through your other posts now and get caught up on what's going on in your life. I hope you have a good weekend! Chat with you soon.Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08659968511488397366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6959918163454225829.post-90206381314527889012016-03-09T00:33:58.150-05:002016-03-09T00:33:58.150-05:00When you unfriendly someone, you can still be foll...When you unfriendly someone, you can still be following their page. Crazy, I know. Go to their page and see if the "following" button is blue. If so, click on it and change to "unfollow". You can also go to your kids pages and click on the " follow" button and pick "show first". Then their post will be the first things you see when you go to your news feed.Janell Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6959918163454225829.post-73875553318402387042016-03-08T21:44:46.447-05:002016-03-08T21:44:46.447-05:00I gave up my personal FB page for Lent and am pret...I gave up my personal FB page for Lent and am pretty much ignoring the regular newsfeed until Easter (I do have all my family in a special list so I can easily check in on them). I have my Life With Dee page and a few others I'm wholly or partially responsible for so I am keeping up with them. I must say it's been rather freeing. I'm not all that eager to get back to usual, either. And I absolutely agree with you about those awful photos! I don't like pictures of people's latest hunting kills, either. I have a few friends/relatives who hunt and I try to remember to hide them during deer season. We have a lot of deer here on our land and I'm always talking to them and telling them to stay put so they'll be safe. I understand that we would be overrun with deer if people didn't hunt but that doesn't mean I want to see dead Bambi in my news feed.

I love the bottles on your tub - really nice touch! As for the gallery arrangement you aren't happy with, here are a couple of suggestions. First, the picture on the top/right is too high. I would align the top of the frames with the top of your curtains at the highest. The other hint I've read in design books is to have the same amount of space between all your pictures. I think if you move them all closer to each other it will have a more intentional and cohesive look. Gallery walls are a challenge, though. We still have absolutely nothing on the wall along our stairs because for one thing, I know it will take a lot of items to make it look right and because I just don't know exactly what I want. It sounds like a lovely place to pray. glad you were able to find some peace. I struggle with trusting Him at times, so thank you for your testimony about His provision.
Love what you have done with your house. Your bathroom is so pretty.
I agree with FB. I have made some friends aquaintances so I don't have to see their political posts...
You do have a lot of land to enjoy and take care of though. I think it is hard to make a living farming these days. My Daddy had a couple of acres, and he raised chickens
and grew so much food. I remember my Mom canning and freezing for us to eat all winter; so many cans of beans, tomatoes, pickles and jams etc.
Hope you have a great week. It was not just good entertainment but always had a lesson in each show. We enjoy the old tv shows too. Diana Shore, Burns and Allen all. Also interesting to get their perspective on the news in Israel etc.
I have never done Facebook. Many have told me Facebook changes their settings and rules on whim and it is hard to keep up with what is secure one time and then not later.
Every political season has it's difficulties but this year tops them I think. We vote the party who has the candidates we want in office too. They have been going at it so long it is hard to believe we still have so long till the actual voting time. How any candidate can keep up enough stamina to keep campaigning and remember what the questions they are asked let alone what the statistics are they quote is beyond me. They must take a lot of Geritol. :-) Three days of campaigning and I would crawl under a table and give up!! Then after the voting is in the lucky one gets to jump right into office and run the entire country.!!
I find so many times like you I don't have the rest of what is necessary to complete a job. I try to remember at least I did get that far and with some work I will get past this point and eventually the job will get completed.
I like the green walls in your bathroom Least they look green to me. I think how you dressed the bathtub is pretty. It makes it look like a model home! :) All the rooms in our house are so there is no other way to change where the couches are and such. Too many doorways and such in every room. I can
though change out the pictures and such and do like you do moving things from one room to another and retiring a few things to the garage to bring them back out another time. Lets face it..do any of us know one person who is completely satisfied with their house? Completely? We can always find something we wish was different. :-) I know I certainly can and do! LOL Yet they basically do what they are supposed to and shelter us and bring the family together. Every one of them.
I am so grateful I did get to see family farms and so many things that are rare now a days. The 5 and 10c stores and all the odds and ends of small town life and schools of the times. Grandparents that acted like real grandparents and neighbors that we're truly neighborly. Church bells ringing and lots of song birds. All the things we took somewhat for granted because who would think they would disappear? Now that I realize things do not stay I try to keep my eyes and mind aware of the special things we still do have. One being the constantly changing spectacular sky. Always changing and always over the top beautiful. At our Bible Study this last week we studied King Saul and how the people wanted a king, and how God gave them one but how it turned out how to be the ruination of their country. Perhaps God is trying to tell us that things will continue to go downhill until we as a nation turn back to Him.
