It is sligh...Thank so much for the cobbler recipe! It is slightly different than our standard one and will try it.
I love to check Working Pantry for inspiration and ideas. I have thought about her the challenges she has given herself to learn things. One of our children has done that for years. Sometimes fun things like eating with chopsticks only for 4 months and such. :) I do feel the need to stretch myself. I realize there are several cooking things I have never managed to do well and always wanted to. I make a wonderful gravy and pies but not pizza. I used my pressure canner for years but that has been quite a while back and I need to refresh my learning. My son use his a lot and if shaky he said he would come and 'teach' me. ! :-) It would be fun to just be together so I might take him up on it. LOL I used to make most of our clothes. I was very good at doing many fancy things and pattern changing etc. Also been so long since then and I yearn to get into that again. Why not? If not now .....when? How many people have you heard say I always wished I had.... Fill in the blank. Before it is too late I want to finish some of those wishes so I best get moving and get started! :) I have started to keep a little personal notebook with little and bigger wishes and checking them off.
I like Amazon buttons and lists of bloggers personal picks. It has helped me learn about new things and books and I really enjoy them.
I didn't know they were making any plastic fax flowers now. Now I am curious to see and feel them! Your posts have contained so many things I wanted to comment on. I should have kept a note on each when I first read it! Just know we get so much out of them even if we don't comment on everything! Trouble is, the market is only open Wednesday and Saturday mornings and if you don't get there early, the best stuff is gone. I haven't gotten as many peaches as I would like but did manage to buy several this past Wednesday. None were from the nearby town as I was told the Stratford peaches are done for the year. These came from other Oklahoma towns, though, so that's close enough. I plan to make peach ice cream tomorrow or Sunday and am really looking forward to it! Joy and blessings to you.,

Karen Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6959918163454225829.post-4822474450578855922017-08-03T19:32:16.574-04:002017-08-03T19:32:16.574-04:00Drooling over those peaches! I am some this week that were from Jersey and I was so disappointed. I guess I was very much in love with silk flowersvat one time as i have a good sized collection of them. I have been spoiled by Aldi and their inexpensive real flowers. Quite often on holidays i have seen men buying flowers there instead of the florist and i think how smart and practical they are. I keep thinking about buying chair covers but not sure about what company would be good to buy from. I want them to look "intentional", not something i bought to cover a ratty chair. I smiled when you talked about Katie. Hubby would come home and find me at the sewing machine making curtains, ect. and knew i would be painting the walls shortly. He was just glad if he didn't have to get involved!
I know what you mean about sympathy when you are sick. Hubby is always positive he is worse off than i am. The only sympathy i get is from the cat and hubby nagging that if i am that sick i should call the Dr. Just go away!!! LOL. Great post! Glad you are making plans for what you want to do and be. Too many wonen think life is over once the kids are raised. I am older than the hills and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
When you mentioned spiritual writing, I recently did my own Bible study for a group of ladies I lead and I was so pleased when they said it was their favorite one I did. It was the book of Jeremiah and i learned so much from digging deep for information. Enjoy your weekend! What size ice cream maker do you have? I have made ice cream for years and years and would be happy to share recipe- I use evaporated milk. Can you eat that? I look forward to following your dreams! Maybe you come back to the same things because they are the core of dreams. Hubby and I were talking the other day and I realized that you must have a base of home (food, clothes, cleanliness), finances (budget), and health to be able to move forward with any dreams.Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16170218700397945765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6959918163454225829.post-85898446014342512782017-08-03T14:59:00.877-04:002017-08-03T14:59:00.877-04:00Lesson 0ne for essential oils, go to hopewelloils....Lesson 0ne for essential oils, go to hopewelloils.com and order a bottle of Tummy Soothe. It will kill any sort of digestive virus or food poisoning. Five drops in 3 ounces of water will do it. A dear friend packed this for a mission trip to Ughanda and when dozens at the refugee camp were hit with a tummy virus she was able to put a stop to it quickly. It is best to take it when you feel it coming on and not get a full blown case.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6959918163454225829.post-60796733105369607632017-08-03T14:41:57.831-04:002017-08-03T14:41:57.831-04:00My mom made those cobblers and then so do I.
