To Do List for Third Week of October

1.  Zone Three: Bedrooms and Baths.  I went ahead and started on Friday with this job.  I wanted to feel I'd done something last week and that seemed doable.  It took about 45 minutes and while the job wasn't completely done it was more than half done.  I still need to mop the floor and clean the shower.  Very doable!

I don't have specific tasks in the guest room normal cleaning.  In the guest bath though, I could definitely do a deeper cleaning, as I've done in my bathroom.  I didn't realize how much work it needed, since it's only infrequently used.  However, three four-year-olds and one seven-year-old are the infrequent users...Well...enough said.

In the master bedroom I'd like to switch out the spring/summer cover for the autumn/winter quilt.  And then it's just general cleaning.  At the end of the week, I'll take off the mattress pad and swap it for the other one.

This is not a heavy-duty sort of zone, thank goodness.  I should be able to manage it in under a day, especially with the nice head start on the bathroom.

2.  Sunday reset.  Organize fridge, pick up the house, most especially put away my clothing in the bedroom.

3.  Fried Chicken Sunday with Taylor.  Not a hard task to take on but it is time from the first work day of the week.

4.  Get my two pieces together that I plan to read next weekend. I kept thinking I'd have time this week to sit down and work on this but each time I sat down I was so weary that the idea of editing and rewriting anything was too much.

5.  Vote.  Early voting begins October 15.

6.  Sam's Club.  I want to get that flour.  Also noted mandarins are on sale there for the best price I've seen.

7.  Set up my wardrobe.   I've been meaning to do this for months (literally) and now that we're getting into a more social/busier time of year, I want to have a few outfits on tap.  I'm also going to add a critique section to my self-care notebook.  I wore something a couple of weeks ago that made me feel so chic and nice.  And then I had a fail on Friday.  I knew it was wrong and I knew I could easily have corrected it had I already had that outfit laid out and seen what was wrong before I put it on.

8.  Clean off the patio.

9.  Deadhead the mums.

10.  Trim back the rosebush in front of the back porch.

11.  Make bagels, bread, muffins, apple pie.

12.  I don't know exactly when I shall stop having to adjust the budget...I got it all set up last week, then I called to switch one of our quarterly bills over to monthly at John's request. I knew it would increase the bill a bit.  I didn't expect that much.  Never mind.  In the end, it's easier on us to make a monthly payment over the quarterly one.  So Re-work the budget.  Sincerely hoping this will be the last adjustment I make until 2025.

13. Self Care/Grooming:  pedicure, shave face.  Begin logging in self-care journal.

14.  Self-Care/ Mental and Spiritual: 15 minutes outdoors each day.  Bible Study.  Soothing Music.
