To Do List for the Fourth Week of October

Our weekend has been slightly less busy than we'd anticipated it might be.  That's quite all right.  It's hard to be out later on Friday evening and then busy early on Saturday and have a long day on Sunday.  The break between Friday and Sunday is welcome, very welcome.

There are no big plans for the week ahead, really.  I seem to be in a slump where housework is concerned.  I'm not keeping up my zone work at all.  Nor am I doing enough extra to warrant missing out on these tasks I keep saying I want to get done.   No, the house isn't messy.  The house looks decent and that's as far as I'll go.

The wonderful thing is that every day I have a chance to start over again.  Thank goodness for that!

1.  Zone 4: Master Bed and Bath.   I actually made a mistake last week. I should have been focusing on the guest bed and bath.  I should have looked at my list of tasks, but I didn't.  Since I did work on the master bed and bath last week, I will work on the guest room and bath this week.

2.  Work outdoors.  I need to empty the water buckets and clean them well, then refill a couple of them for the dog and cat.  I should clean up the planters and blow leaves off the patio.

3.  Keep the kids one evening.  I'm not sure what evening this will be, but I'd said I would do it a few weeks ago.

4.  Finish the pantry inventory.  Pull expired or about to expire things and put on a shelf together for future use.

5.   Check supplies against my November Subscribe and Save list, deleting those items I don't need in the coming month.

6.  Visit Mama.

7.  Get books back to the library.

8.  Start planning for holidays in the next two months.  This is just planning and nothing more.  I'm not actively going to be shopping or setting dates.  I'm just thinking.  If we don't have a big family day for any of the holidays, we'll have our own gathering of just the two of us and I want to plan for both scenarios.

9.  Start planning for November.  We're not quite at those 'snuggle in and do-little winter days'.  There's plenty to be done, well before the holidays arrive.

10.  Plan a special outing for the trio of kids for the weekend.  I need a plan and to make sure I have the cash on hand I'll need.  I want to take the kids to pick out their own pumpkins for their porch.  They'll want a treat or something to eat, too.
